Taylor Norton is a recent graduate of the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre, and Dance where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Directing. At Michigan, Taylor directed many productions and held leadership positions within multiple student organizations such as “Michigan Performance Outreach Workshop” for whom she maintained a website and Basement Arts, the oldest student-run theatre company on the University of Michigan campus, for which she served as Artistic Director for the 2013-14 season.
Taylor graduated from the St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists in 2010. During her time at the Conservatory, she was invited to assist on local professional productions in the Twin Cities with members of the SPCPA faculty. She has worked on productions at the Bryant-Lake Bowl, Upright Egg Theatre Company, the Childrens Theatre Company, The Southern Theatre, The British American Drama Academy, and Youth Performance Company.
In 2014, Taylor moved to the New York area to pursue a career in theatre full-time. She began by directing the Off-Broadway premiere of a project she originated in Ann Arbor, Sea Legs: A Nautical New Musical. She currently works as an intern at the Manhattan Theatre Club.
